Cassia Court

Cassia Court is the compound that we live in. I think it is cool because, it has tons of space and is foresty. here is a picture of just a portion of it.

To Let

Sometimes when some friends and I are on the bus on our way to school, we like to shoot spitballs. There was this one sign that we love to hit and see how many we could get on it. It is a To Let apartment sign. If you look closely you can see all the little spitballs.

What is a duka?

We have dukas or little shops that sell stuff on like every corner of the street! It is really nice to have them because, you can just go over to them whenever you want and just get candy and stuff!! People in Kenya can buy stuff there like milk, bananas all kinds of fruit and vegetables, toothbrushes and stuff like that.

My School

These are pictures of my school, or West Nairobi School. I really like it because it is tropical and kind of out doors.

It is American system so I was already used to it when I came to it.

Malewa!

We went to Malewa for Christmas break and it was soo fun!! We got to go abseiling down a really steep cliff!! (The picture is of me - my dad took the shot.) We also got to go swimming at this natural place where the river is a lot calmer than it usually is. The water was so cold! When we went abseiling, right at the part where you were about to go off the cliff and the person that was doing the safety rope told you to lean back was the most freaky time ever!!

Hell’s Gate

On our hike in this amazing gorge, we saw this really cool grasshopper!! It was the coolest bug I have ever seen!!

My family and I went on a really cool hike in a gorge in Hells Gate National Park! The gorge was soo big!! It was basically like a cliff that we were at the bottom of!! In the picture above us is a kind of volcanic plug coming out of the ground.

There were two trails on the hike and one got blocked off a little way into the hike. We also had a guide who decided to go along with us. He said that we should go beyond the blocking, so we went with him. We saw some awesome things like a huge wall that was kind of like a roof for us!!!

We got to sleep in a small van for our hells gate trip. It rained that night so the van got a little wet. It was soo fun!!!

Our Christmas Tree

We have a small fake Christmas tree because people don't sell real Christmas trees here in Kenya.
